Dear Parent/Guardian,
We welcome you to Mona Preparatory School and pray that your years here will be meaningful to you and your child/ward. Please make note of the following as it concerns the upcoming school year.
OFFICE HOURS
During the summer break, the Administration Office and Book Room will be opened between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Kindly note that our Administrative Office will be closed Thursday, August 1 to Tuesday, August 6, 2013.
BOOK ROOM
Please note that the bookroom has uniforms and stationery supplies available for sale. Kindly note that white blouses for the girls, and blue uniform shorts for the boys, are not available at the bookroom. White blouses and blue shorts may be purchased at Amart or New Liguanea Fashions.
UNIFORM
Girls' Uniform: White cotton break neck short sleeved shirt worn under a navy blue gingham tunic accompanied by black shoes and white ankle length socks. Navy blue, or white clips are allowed. A simple gold knob and a wrist watch are the only pieces of jewelry which are allowed.
Girls are to wear the skort and physical education shirt for Physical Education and Dance/Movement classes. These items are sold at the school. They should be accompanied by white socks and black or white sneakers.
Boys' Uniform: Gingham shirt and navy blue shorts (Kindergarten to Grade 3) or pants (Grades 4 to 6) accompanied by black shoes and navy blue shocks. Boys are required to wear their hair in a style that is appropriate for school. Earrings are not allowed. Shirts are to be tucked in pants at all times and a clean appearance maintained.
Boys are to wear the navy blue shirt and shorts for Physical Education and Dance/Movement classes. These items are sold at the school. They should be accompanied by white socks and black or white sneakers.
DEADLINE FOR DOCUMENTS
parents are being asked to submit all outstanding documents (immunization cards, birth certificates, passport size photographs, health certificates and the last two school reports – if applicable) by Wednesday, July 31, 2013.
FEES
Please be advised that the school fee for the academic year 2013-2014 is Seventy Seven Thousand Dollars ($77,000.00) per term. In addition, there is an annual cost for insurance of $500.00, and P.T.A. dues of $500.00.
Payments by cash should be made to the National Commercial Bank. Only credit or debit cards will be accepted at the school.
All fees must be paid by Friday, August 30, 2013. Kindly note that a pass must be issued for admission to classes on Monday, September 2, 2013.
OREINTATION
All children/wards accompanied by their parents/guardians are being invited to Orientation on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. Children/wards should be dressed in full uniform.
The Christmas Term begins on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
