As we begin the 2025/2026 academic
year, we are excited to welcome both our returning families and those new to
the Mona Prep community.
Our staff has been working diligently
throughout the summer to ensure a smooth start to the year. As a
proud church school, we remain grounded in Christian values and are committed
to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can
grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
We will continue to keep you informed
about school events, academic progress, and opportunities for involvement. Please
check the school calendar, WhatsApp Community, email, website and class WhatsApp groups
(to be confirmed). Below is a quick look at what to expect in the first
few weeks:
Orientation – New Students and New Parents/Guardians
Only
Orientation
of new students and new parents/guardians will be held on Friday, August 29,
2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Ishmael Robertson Hall.
The new students
will then be engaged with their respective teachers from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Ensure that the children wear their
full Mona Prep school uniform, have
packed snacks, lunch and adequate water.
Resumption of Classes (Arrival and
Dismissal Times)
The
new school year will commence on Monday, September 8, 2025 for all students
– a class pass is required for entry to class (this is issued by the Bursar
upon proof of fee payment). School
starts at 8:00 a.m. each day. All students must report for school in
their full Mona Prep school uniforms.

Diagnostic Tests
These tests are administered by the school to identify the areas of weakness students may have at
this point in their learning journey. These
tests will be administered as follows:

Kindergarten
to Grade 3 - Monday Sept. 8 to Friday, Sept. 12, 2025
·
Grades
4 & 5 - Friday, Sept. 5 from 7:50
a.m. – 2:15 p.m. (children will meet in their respective classrooms, so a
class pass will be required)
·
Grade
6 - Friday, Sept. 5 from 7:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. (children will meet with
the Specialist subject teachers in the
Hall)
Ensure
that the children wear their full Mona

should be picked up promptly at dismissal.
Extra-Curricular Activities
All
extra-curricular activities will begin in the week of September 8, 2025.
Once registration and payment are complete with the Bursary department, kindly take the completed extracurricular form to
the class teacher so they have a log of all the activities applicable to
your child/ward.
After Care Services
After
Care (hosted in the room located beside the Vice Principal’s office) will begin
in the week of September 8, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each
day. The coordinators for
after-care will be Ms. Susan Johnson
(from K2), Ms. Taikanya Lewis (from K3) and Ms. Kerry-Ann Bailey (from Grade 5).
The service fee is $1,300 per day or $6,000 per week. Payment should be made at the Bursar’s
Office.
Pick-Up
Students
who are not engaged in any extra-curricular activities or registered in After
Care should be picked up promptly at dismissal time (see dismissal times
above).

Anniversary on Monday, September 22, 2025. Kindly note below:
PTA General Meeting
The first general PTA meeting for the 2025/2026 school
year is scheduled for Wednesday,
September 24, 2025. Further details will follow from the PTA executive
body.

student leaders will be installed on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 7:50 a.m. in the Ishmael Robertson
Hall.
