The Performing Arts students will be participating in a special birthday celebration for Dr. The Honourable Louise Bennett Coverley on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre. The event will commence at 5:00 p.m. All are invited to attend.
Mona Preparatory School will play its first match in the TVJ’s Junior Schools’ Challenge Quiz Competition on Monday, September 8, 2014. The match will be played against St. Jude’s Primary and will be aired on TVJ at 6:30 p.m. on the day.
The Grade One Individual Learning Profile will be administered from Monday, September 8 to Thursday, September 11, 2014.
The Back to School Night Out will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 for Kindergarten to Grade 3 and Tuesday, September 16, 2014 for Grades 4 to 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This event will seek to provide new and returning parents/guardians with pertinent information regarding expectations. Parents/Guardians will also be given updates for the academic year 2014/2015, an introduction to the new grade level and a summary of the activities for the year. This will be done through an interactive session in the Church Hall and then a session with the class and assistant teachers in the respective class rooms.
Our 50th Anniversary and Welcome Church Service will be held at the Hope United Church on Sunday, September 21, 2014 commencing at 8:30 a.m. The students are expected to wear their school uniforms and it is our hope that everyone will find it possible to be in attendance as our children will be fully engaged in the 50th Anniversary Church Service.
The School’s 50th Anniversary Birthday Bash will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 8:00 a.m.
The Dedication Service for the Avinash Potluri Science Centre will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 commencing at 8:00 a.m. on the School’s compound.
The first P.T.A Meeting for the academic year 2014/2015 will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the Church Hall. All parents/guardians are encouraged to attend and meet the new PTA executive body.
A special Parents’ Conference (Grade 6 Only) will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 7:30 a.m. in the Computer Room. All parents/guardians of students in grade 6 are encouraged to attend.
