Subject: WELCOME TO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is with a deep sense of pride and an inordinate feeling of jubilation that we commence this academic year (2014/2015). This year, the School will celebrate its fiftieth (50th) anniversary and as members of the school family, everyone is expected to participate fully in the many organised activities to mark this significant milestone. The theme, “Recall, Reclaim, Rejoice!” will be used as the celebratory axle as we recognize the many triumphs that we have recorded as an institution. We welcome everyone to what we know will be a very fulfilling and exciting year, and we trust that we will be able to give thanks together as we acknowledge the goodness of God on our beloved institution.

As we prepare for another school year, we would like to take the opportunity to welcome both new and returning members of the Mona Prep. Community. We wish to welcome Mr. Matthew Sinclair (Grade 5 Class Teacher for Term 1), Ms. Taneisha Malcolm (Grade 4 Class Teacher), Ms. Renee Campbell (Grade 4 Assistant Class Teacher), Mrs. Sydonique McLeod-Johnson (Kindergarten 1 Assistant Teacher for Term 1), Mrs. Carlene Flash-Forbes (Kindergarten 2 Assistant Teacher for Term 1), Ms. Phelica Morgan (Grade 2 Assistant Teacher for Term 1) and Ricardo Tracey (Science & S.T.E.M Teacher) who have joined the Academic Staff. Teachers on vacation leave for Term 1 are Mr. Nero Christian (Grade 5 Class Teacher), Mrs. Diahan Holbrooke-Yap (Grade 2 Class Teacher), Mrs. Janet Whyte (Kindergarten 2 Assistant Teacher), Ms. Susan Johnson (Kindergarten 1 Assistant Teacher) and Ms. Denese Forbes (Teacher of Computer). We hope they have a wonderful vacation and we look forward to their return in January, 2015.

Some members of Team Mona will no longer be a part of the Academic Staff (namely: Ms. Rosanee Palmer - Kindergarten 3 Class Teacher and Mrs. Jean Mullings – 6A Class Teacher).  We thank them for their service and trust that God will richly bless them in their future endeavours.

Kindly note that the data form must be completed for each student. For new and returning  students who are not on the text messaging and emailing system, these forms are crucial to the process in assisting us to update and  maintain relevant  personal  contact details which will allow for the receiving of vital information from the school.

It is certainly my wish that we will have a wonderful and rewarding year as we work together to promote the best interest of our children.

Yours faithfully,
MONA PREPARATORY SCHOOL
